Baja Mexico Visitors Need To Use Alternate Entrance For Rosarito-Ensenada Scenic Road

Visitors to Mexico temporarily will have to use a nearby alternate route to get to the Rosarito-Ensenada scenic highway, also known as the toll road.

Road construction has created the need for the alternative to the normal entrance on the right hand side of the road, just past the airport exit and shortly after visitors cross into Mexico from the San Ysidro crossing.
A map and directions to the alternate entrance are below:

1- Once you get across the border stay in the middle line
2- Pass the normal exit to Rosarito-Ensenada (it will be closed) and go over the bridge.
3- Take the center line and go around the spiral turn.
4- Take the detour onyour right to the International Avenue and continue as usual.

(If you get lost and by mistake end at downtown Tijuana, look for “Third Street” or “Carrillo Puerto Stree”t (is the same, that is a one-way street), go all the way down to the end of the street (you will pass downton Tijuana), at the end of the street make a right one block, and on the traffic light make a left (that will be second street). The Second street will lead you to the entrance of the Rosarito-Ensenada toll road (look for the exit on your left, close to the Playas de Tijuana entrance).
