September 12-14 At: Ensenada First Invitational Sister Cities Surfing Tournament More than 100 surfers from Redondo Beach, Riverside, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, San Diego, Chula Vista and Baja California are expected to participate in this fundraising event that benefits the municipal chapter of DIF (Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia), the Mexican social service agency that provides assistance to the neediest members of the community. For a dollar donation, spectators are welcome to view the tournament on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. at Playa Hermosa, one mile south of Ensenada.
